
Elle Longpre (they/she) is a musician and the author of How to Keep You Alive (CCM 2017). They’ve published five chapbooks, most recently from Belladonna* Collaborative, and their short work has appeared widely.
Elle works in performance and multi-media art. They’ve staged work at museums and galleries including Dikeou Collection, the Northampton Center for the Arts, and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. They’ve received grants from the Région Occitanie Pyrénées Méditérranée, Boulder City Arts Council, the University of Denver, and the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics.
Elle has served as poetry editor at FANZINE, editor of the Naropa Summer Writing Program Lit Mag, senior editor of the Bombay Gin, and grant writer at Meridians: feminism, race, transnationalism. Elle has taught creative writing, literature, and performance at the University of Denver, Lighthouse Writers Workshop, Threshold Academy, Four Queens Divination, and Naropa University. They’ve presented their critical work at conferences in Colorado, Wyoming, and Reykjavík.
They earned their PhD at the University of Denver and currently live in Massachusetts, where they recently co-founded the Visions Video nonprofit collective. They can be found in the woods.
